Ted Lewis’s Gallery is located at “Spring Gully”, Orange, NSW, Australia.

Ted completes a lot of his work in his studio, particularly the larger, more contemporary pieces. His traditional paintings can be created from photos of the bush, sunrises, misty mornings and colourful sunsets taken on his property.

He also loves to paint on location where he can enjoy the atmosphere, the natural light and the rush from being “on location”. On of Ted’s favourite locations is the West Macdonnell’s Ranges in Alice Spring – he loves the strong reds and purple blues in the shadows.

In early 2013, Ted participated in a painting camp with the Australian Plein-air Art Group (http://australianpleinair.com/). The Group camped at northhead Manly with an exhibition that followed with works completed on site.

The Art Group also recently gathered on the banks of the Murray River at Barmah, Victoria. An exhibition was held in Nathalia.
